This expedition combines the traditional safari concept, taking you through National Parks in Nairobi and Kenya during migration season, and ends with a delightful twist as you snorkel and whale watch on the eastern coastline. Infused throughout the trip is an emphasis on wildlife conservation and education. This expedition is led by a guide with a background in conservation research and who is has worked in the communities visited.

Introduction

Oceanic Society reinvents the "classic" safari. Our program provides a quality nature experience, visiting the prominent National Parks during the height of the migration season, and ending up snorkeling and whale watching on the coast of Kenya. Along the way we have created opportunities for the traveler to engage and become informed by local community conservation project leaders and artists. This program is designed to create a life-changing experience allowing the traveler to come away with not just pretty pictures, but also firsthand exposure to how local community needs and ingenuity play a role in modern day conservation of predators and marine resources in Kenya.
